The basic theory of product systems was given by \textit{S. D. Barreto} et al. [J. Funct. Anal. 212, No. 1, 121--181 (2004; Zbl 1064.46056)]. Let \(B\) be a unital C*-algebra. A product system is a family \((E_t )_{t \geq 0}\) of Hilbert \(B$-$B\) modules, with \(E_0 \cong B\) and a family of (unitary) isomorphisms \(\varphi_{t,s} : E_t \otimes E_s \to E_{t+s}\), where \(\otimes\) stands for the so-called inner tensor product obtained by identifications \(ub\otimes v \sim u \otimes bv\), \(u \otimes vb \sim (u \otimes v)b\), \(bu\otimes v \sim b(u \otimes v)\), where \(u \in E_t$, $ v \in E_s$, $ b \in B\), and then completing in the inner product \( \langle u \otimes v , u_1 \otimes v_1 \rangle = \langle v, \langle u,u_1 \rangle v_1 \rangle\). A unit in \(E\) is a family \(u = (u_t )_{t \geq 0}\), \(u_t \in E_t\), so that \(u_0 = 1\) and \( \varphi_{t,s} (u_t \otimes u_s ) = u_{t+s}\). A unit \(u\) is unital if \( \langle u_t , u_t \rangle = 1\) for all \(t \geq 0\). The author introduces the notion of additive units of a pointed inclusion system of Hilbert modules over the C*-algebra of all compact operators acting on a Hilbert space \(G\). A pointed inclusion system means an inclusion system with a fixed normalised reference unit. In this paper, the author proves that if \(G\) is a Hilbert space of finite dimension, then there is a bijection between the set of additive units of a pointed inclusion system and the set of additive units of the generated product system. The author also considers additive units of spatial product systems of Hilbert modules and, as an example, she obtains all continuous additive units in the product system from Barreto et al. [loc. cit.].
