A boundary estimate for degenerate parabolic diffusion equations (Q2196594)

The main goal of this paper is to prove an estimate on the modulus of continuity at a boundary point of a cylindrical domain for local weak solutions to degenerate parabolic equations of \(p\)-Laplacian type. The estimate is given in terms of a Wiener-type integral, defined by a proper elliptic \(p\)-capacity. The main novelty in this paper is that the authors are not using at all the comparison principle as made in previous papers on this subject. Only purely structural estimates are used. Moreover, thanks to these estimates, the authors exhibit an explicit modulus of continuity at the boundary.
