A truncated Riesz space is a nontrivial Riesz space \(E\) along with a truncation, i.e., a nonzero map \(x \to x^*\) from the positive cone \(E_+\) into \(E_+\) such that \(x^*\wedge y = x \wedge y^*\) for all \(x, y\in E_ +\). Using the construction of the unitization \(E\oplus \mathbb R\) from [\textit{K. Boulabiar} et al., Algebra Univers. 79, No.~3, Paper No.~48, 14~p. (2018; Zbl 1472.06022)] the authors study various norms on \(E\oplus \mathbb R\) provided that \(E\) is a normed Riesz space.
