Dynamics of self-excited generators with diverse nonlinear delayed feedbacks (Q2198326)

The paper establishes several sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions for the scalar differential delay equation \[ x^{\prime\prime}(t)+ax^\prime(t)+bx(t)=\lambda f(x(t-\tau)) \] under principal assumptions that the parameter \(\lambda>0\) is large and the nonlinearity \(f\) vanishes at infinity, \(\lim_{x\to\pm\infty}f(x)=0\). The exponential orbital stability or instability of periodic solutions is studied. Estimates for the period \(T(\lambda)\) of the periodic solutions and their proximity to cycles of related one-dimensional maps are derived.
