The authors study the one-dimensional thermo-porous-elasticity problem in the framework of Green-Naghdi heat conduction of type II, when the microvoids are assumed to be quasi-static. The existence and uniqueness of the solution is shown using semigroup arguments. The solution is shown to decay generally in an exponential way.
