Multiple convex body semigroups and Buchsbaum rings (Q2199710)

Let \(F\subset\mathbb{R}_\geq^q\) be a nonempty convex set and \(F_i=\{ix\mid x\in F\}\). In this article, the semigroup \(\mathcal{F}=\bigcup_{i=0}^\infty F_i\cap\mathbb{N}^r\) is studied. The paper starts giving some background about the properties related with Cohen-Macaulay and Buchsbaum semigroups. Then, if \(F\) is a circle the authors give a characterization for checking if the semigroup \(\mathcal{F}\) is Buchsbaum. Finally, they do the same with \(F\) being a compact convex polygon. The paper has good illustrations and examples which help the reader to understand it.
