A Puiseux monoid, \(M\), is a submonoid of \((\mathbb{Q_\geq},+)\). Given an element \(x\in M\) and \(L(x)\) its set of lengths, the elasticity of \(x\) is \(\rho(x)=\frac{\sup L(x)}{\inf L(x)}\). We define \(\rho(M)=\sup_{x\in M}\rho(x)\). If there exists \(x\in M\) such that \(\rho(x)=\rho(M)\) the elasticity is accepted. In this paper, the authors study the elasticity of Puiseux monoids. In particular, they give a charactization of the elements \(x\in M\) such that \(\rho(x)=\rho(M)\) using the minimum and the maximum of the atoms of \(M\). Moreover, for primary Puiseux monoids, they prove that being a FF-monoid is equivalent to being a BF-monoid. Finally, they build an example of bifircus Puiseux monoid, i.e., a Puiseux monoid such that every non-atom element has a factorization of length two.
