Blowup solutions for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with complex coefficient. (Q2200753)

The authors construct finite positive time blow up solutions to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the power nonlinearity whose coefficient is a complex number. They also observe that those solutions exist time globally for negative time. They show that a sequence of solutions closes to the blow up profile which is a blow up solution of an ODE. They apply the Aubin-Lions lemma for the compactness argument for the convergence of this sequence.
