A linear operator \(R\) on an algebra \(A\) over a field \(F\) is called a Rota-Baxter operator if \( R(x)R(y) = R(R(x)y + xR(y) + \lambda xy)\) for all \(x, y \in A\) and some fixed \(\lambda \in F\). A Rota-Baxter operator on the polynomial algebra is called monomial if it maps each monomial to a monomial. The author classifies the monomial Rota-Baxter operators on the polynomial algebra in one variable with no constant term. He also describes the injective monomial Rota-Baxter operators of nonzero weight \(\lambda\) on the polynomial algebra in several variables with no constant term.
