The bivariate gamma model is proposed. Its novelty is dealing with the edge probability linking with the two strength parameters by a symmetric bivariate function. Such bivariate gamma model is more flexible than the \(\beta\)-model. The examples with a real world dataset illustrate the proposed asymptotic theory.
