On the propagation of regularity for solutions of the fractional Korteweg-de Vries equation (Q2202241)

The Cauchy problem for a dispersive equation generalizing the Korteweg-de Vries model \[u_t-D^\alpha u_x+uu_x=0\] is studied in the case \(\alpha\in(0,1)\). An effect of the propagation of regularity (to the left, at infinite speed) is established through the use of delicate commutator estimates, similarly to the case of the generalized Benjamin-Ono equation studied in e.g. [\textit{F. Linares} et al., SIAM J. Math. Anal. 46, No. 2, 1505--1537 (2014; Zbl 1294.35124)], and recently in [\textit{A. J. Mendez}, ``On the propagation of regularity for solutions of the dispersion generalized Benjamin-Ono equation'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1901.00823}].
