Two-dimensional solutions of a mean field equation on flat tori (Q2202285)

In this paper, the authors study the mean field equation on a flat torus. They prove the existence of two-dimensional solutions bifurcating from the trivial solution at each eigenvalue of the Laplace operator on the torus in the space of even symmetric solutions. They also characterize the subset of all eigenvalues through which only one bifurcating curve passes. Some other results are also obtained.
