    The authors consider a random impulsive perturbation of the classical Lorenz model. The random process describing the perturbation is a piecewise deterministic Markov process. Let \(\mathcal M\) be a Poincaré section of the unperturbed flow. The returning map of the Markov process from \(\mathcal M\) to itself allows one to define an embedded Markov chain. The authors show that this Markov chain admits a stationary measure \(\mu_\epsilon\) (with \(\epsilon\) being the intensity of the perturbation) which weakly converges to the the physical measure \(\mu_0\) of the unperturbed system as \(\epsilon\) goes to zero. In this way, the stochastic stability of the classical Lorenz model under random impulsive perturbations is established.
