This article contains a few results on the scattering matrix (SM) for Schrödinger operators. Herewith, the author states that the SM is a pseudodifferential operator and provides the expression of its principal symbol (Theorem 1.1). Concerning the scattering properites of SM, he shows that the SM has pure dense pure point spectrum on the whole unit circle whenever the potential satisfies meaningful assumptions (Theorem 1.2). Within the framework of the two-dimensional real space, he furnishes results on the essential and the absolute continuous spectra of SM (Theorem 1.3).
