For the generalized affine group \(G=O(n)\ltimes \mathbb{R}^n\) let \(L\) be a closed subgroup of \(O(n)\) and \(D_L\) the space of all \(L\)-invariant differential operators on \(C^\infty(G)\). An \(L\)-variety is a closed subspace of \(C^\infty(G)\) endowed with the topology of compact convergence of \((Df)\) for all \(D\in D_L\) which is closed under the action of \(D_L\).\par It is shown that for \(L\)-varieties \(V\) on \(L\ltimes\mathbb{R}^n\) which are the annihilator of some ideal in \(D_L(\mathbb{R}^n)\) spectral analysis holds, i.e. \(V\) contains a joint eigenfunction of all \(L\)-invariant differential operators, and that these \(L\)-varieties are synthesizable which means that functions in the kernel of certain monomial-type \(L\)-invariant differential operators are dense in \(V\).\par This work is based on early results of \textit{L. Schwartz} [Ann. Math. (2) 48, 857--929 (1947; Zbl 0030.15004)] and \textit{B. Malgrange} [Ann. Inst. Fourier 6, 271--355 (1956; Zbl 0071.09002)].
