It is well known that direct sums of matrix rings over either a field or a Laurent polynomial rings can be realized as Leavitt path algebras and Leavitt path algebras admit a natural \(\mathbb Z\)-graduation. Combining this idea with another natural fact that a graduation of a base ring can be also extended to matrix rings, an interesting inverse question arises immediately when direct sums of graded matrix rings over either a field or a Laurent polynomial ring can be realized as a graded Leavitt path algebras. This problem is studied thoroughly in the Section 3 of the article with a surprising consequence. Namely, Example 3.6 showed that there are graded corners, i.e., endomorphism rings of projective one-sided ideals generated by vertices in Leavitt path algebras which are not graded-isomorphic to Leavitt path algebras while the corners without graduation are always isomorphic to appropriate Leavitt path algebras by a corresponding result of \textit{G. Abrams} and \textit{T. G. Nam} [J. Algebra 547, 494--518 (2020; Zbl 1444.16039)].
