Let \(\Pi\) be the upper half-plane and let \([a,b]\subset \partial\Pi\). The authors introduce a class \(\mathcal N\mathcal H_{[a,b]}^1(\Pi)\) of functions analytic in \(\Pi\) and belonging the Hardy class near \([a,b]\). Under the assumption that \(f|_{[a,b]}\in L^1([a,b])\), a Carleman integral representation formula is derived: \[f(z)=\lim_{m\to\infty}\frac{1}{2\pi i}\int_a^b\frac{f(\zeta)\left(\frac{\varphi(\zeta)}{\varphi(z)}\right)^{m}}{\zeta-z}\,d\zeta,\quad z\in\Pi,\] where \(\varphi(z)\), \(z\in\Pi\), is a branch of the function \(\left(\frac{z-b}{z-a}\right)^{\frac{1}{\pi i}}\). Under some additional conditions it is proved that a function \(f\in L^{1}([a,b])\) can be extended to a function \(f\in\mathcal N\mathcal H_{[c,d]}^1(\Pi)\) for almost all intervals \([c,d]\subset [a,b]\).
