Dade's Lemma is a result that shows how rank varieties for modular group presentations control projectivity of finite dimensional modules. The lemma also plays a central role in the study of modules of constant Jordan type, as introduced by [\textit{J. F. Carlson} et al., J. Reine Angew. Math. 614, 191--234 (2008; Zbl 1144.20025)]. An analog for Dade's Lemma was found with respect to rank varieties of certain \(q\)-complete intersections, see [\textit{D. J. Benson} et al., J. Pure Appl. Algebra 211, No. 2, 497--510 (2007; Zbl 1184.16012)]. The paper under review represents a start towards answering the question as to whether rank varieties also control projectivity in the case of modules of constant Jordan type. Modules of constant Jordan type are first investigated by introduction of the relevant algebras. If \(k\) is a field, \(n\) and \(c\) any (fixed) positive integers, \(q \in k\) a primitive \(n'\)-th root of unity (where \(n'\) is an integer defined in terms of \(n\) and \(\mathrm{char}~k\)), then the algebra considered is the quantum complete intersection \(A^{c}_{q} = k \langle x_{1}, \ldots , x_{c} \rangle / (x_{i}^{n},~ x_{i}x_{j} - qx_{j}x_{i} ~ (i < j))\). For any \(\lambda \in k^{c},\) the Jordan type of an \(A_{q}^{c}\)-module \(M\) is defined by means of the direct sum decomposition of \(M\) as a \(k[u_{\lambda}]\)-module. If for all nonzero \(\lambda \in k^{c}\), the Jordan type is the same, \(M\) is said to have constant Jordan type. Basic properties of modules of constant Jordan type are studied, for example closure with respect to taking direct sums, direct summands, syzygies and cosyzygies. Some results concerning the abundance of modules of constant Jordan type are then found and it is shown that some constant Jordan types cannot be associated with modules. Auslander-Reiten theory is studied next and it is shown that constant Jordan type is preserved under Auslander-Reiten translation. Considering components of the stable Auslander-Reiten quiver, it is shown that either all modules within a component have constant Jordan type or none have constant Jordan type. In the final section, it is proved that, in the case where the algebra \(A_{q}^{c}\) has two generators, the syzygies \(\Omega _{A_{q}^{c}}^{2i}(k)\) and \(\Omega _{A_{q}^{c}}^{2i+1}(k)\) are the only modules having the constant stable Jordan types \([1]\) and \([n-1]\) respectively, for any \(i \in \mathbb{Z}.\)
