Let \(R\) be a Noetherian domain. A polynomial \(F\in R[X,Y]\) is called a \textit{coordinate} if \(R[X,Y]=R[F,G]\) for some \(G\in R[X,Y]\) and a \textit{it residual coordinate} if its image in \(k(\mathfrak{p})[X,Y]\) is a coordinate for any prime ideal \(\mathfrak{p}\in R[X,Y],\) where \(k(\mathfrak{p})\) is the rsidue field in \(\mathfrak{p}.\) The aim of the paper is to show an example of a residual coordinate \(F,\) satisfying \(R[X,Y]/(F)\cong R[T]\) that is not a coordinate, where \(R=k[[t^2,t^3]]\) and \(k\) is an infinite field of characteristic \(p>2.\)
