The author deals with a discontinuous non-selfadjoint Sturm-Liouville problem which contains a spectral parameter nonlinearly in the boundary conditions. Using the canonical form of the Bessel functions and their derivatives, the author obtains the asymptotic representations of the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the problem and some of their main properties.
