Intersection of Sierpinski gasket with its translation (Q2210531)

The authors investigate the intersection of the \(q\)-Siepinski gasket in \({\mathbb R}^2\) with its translation, under the assumption \(2 < q < 3\). Specifically, inspired by the fact that the Hausdorff dimension of the \(q\)-Siepinski gasket is, in this case, equal to \(\log 3/\log q\), the authors determine the set of all possible Hausdorff dimensions of the intersections between the \(q\)-Siepinski gasket and its translates by parameters with unique \(q\)-expansions w.r.t. \(\{-1, 0, 1\}\).
