The authors compare two well-known generalizations of the concept of spectrum of quadratic forms to arbitrary even homogeneous functionals, namely the homotopy significant spectrum and the Krasnoselskii spectrum. The authors prove that the Krasnoselskiii spectrum is contained in the homotopy significant spectrum. Moreover, they provide examples where the inclusion is an equality as well as examples where the inclusion is strict. Finally, they propose an alternative definition of homotopy significant spectrum for which they are able to prove stability under small perturbations.
