The authors focus on the following conjectures on perimeter and area of reduced spherical polygons, formulated by \textit{M. Lassak} [Colloq. Math. 138, No. 2, 205--216 (2015; Zbl 1316.52017)]: \begin{itemize} \item[``(1)] The perimeter of every reduced spherical polygon is less than or equal to that of the regular spherical triangle of the same thickness; the maximum value is attained only for this regular spherical triangle. \item[(2)] From all the reduced spherical polygons of a fixed thickness and with at most \(n\) vertices, only the regular spherical \(n\)-gon has the minimum perimeter. \item[(3)] The area of every reduced spherical polygon is less than that of the regular spherical odd-gons of the same thickness and whose number of vertices tends to infinity. \item[(4)] The area of every reduced spherical non-regular \(n\)-gon is less than that of the regular spherical \(n\)-gon of the same thickness.'' \end{itemize} They prove that all these conjectures are true.
