    Summary: In this paper, we consider the following generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equation with nonlocal term \(-\operatorname{div}( g^2 (u) \nabla u)+g(u) g'(u) | \nabla u|^2+V(x)u=\lambda [|x|^{-\mu} \ast |u|^p] |u|^{p-2}u\), \(x\in \mathbb{R}^N\), where \(N\geq 3\), \(g:\mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}^+\) is a \(C^1\) even function, \(g(0)=1\), \(g'(s)\geq 0\) is for all \(s\geq 0\), \(\lim_{|s| \to + \infty} g(s)/|s|^{\alpha -1}:= \beta >0\) is for some \(\alpha >1\), and \((\alpha - 1) g(s)\geq g'(s)s\) is for all \(s\geq 0\), \(2\alpha\leq p\leq 2\alpha (N-\mu)/N-2\), and \(0<\mu <N\). We prove that the equation admits a solution by using a constrained minimization argument.
