Consider an open domain \(\mathcal O\subset\mathbb R^n\), two parameters \(\lambda\in\mathbb R\), \(\rho>0\), a complex-valued function \(f\) of a complex variable, a nonlinear function \(h\) on \(\mathbb R\times\mathcal O\times \mathbb C\) and a function \(g\in L^2_{\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb R,L^2\big(\mathcal O)\big)\). The authors are interested in the study of the following generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation: \[\frac{\partial u}{\partial t}+(1+i\lambda)\Delta u+\rho u=f(u)+g(t,x)+h(t,x,u)\circ \frac{dW}{dt}\] in the unknown complex-valued function \(u(t,x)\). Here \(W\) is a two-sided real-valued Wiener process defined on a probability space and the symbol \(\circ\) means that the equation is understood in the sense of Stratonovich's integration. Proving the existence and uniqueness of random attractors is a difficult task, especially when the function \(h\) does not depend linearly on the unknown function \(u\). To overcome this difficulty, the authors introduce a stochastic randomized equation, in the context of Wong-Zakai approximations, which replaces the term \(\frac{dW}{dt}\) by the approximate term (in the limit \(\delta\to0_+\)) \[\mathcal G_\delta=\frac1\delta\big(\omega(t+\delta)-\omega(t)\big), \] where \(\omega(\cdot)\) is a Brownian motion. Then they study the dynamical properties of the randomized equation including the existence and uniqueness of random attractors. In the limit \(\delta\to0_+\), they extract information regarding the dynamics of the generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation.
