    Let \(F\) be a nonzero Hecke eigenform in the space \(S_k (\Gamma_2)\) of Siegel modular forms of degree 2 and weight \(k\) for the group \(\Gamma_2 = \mathrm{Sp}_4 (\mathbb Z)\) such that \(F \mid T(m) = \lambda_m (F) F\), where \(T(m)\) is the \(m\)-th Hecke operator on \(S_k (\Gamma_2)\). Let \(F \mid \rho_m\) be the \(m\)-th Fourier-Jacobi coefficient for \(m \geq 1\), which is a Jacobi cusp form of weight \(k\) and index \(m\) for the group \(\mathrm{SL}_2 (\mathbb Z)\). If \(V_m^*\) is the adjoint of the Hecke type operator \(V_m\) with respect to the Petersson inner product, \textit{W. Kohnen} and \textit{N. P. Skoruppa} [Invent. Math. 95, No. 3, 541--558 (1989; Zbl 0665.10019)] obtained the identity \[ F\mid \rho_m \mid V^* = \lambda_m (F) F \mid \rho_1 . \] In this paper, the author uses this identity to prove that \(F \mid \rho_1 \neq 0\).
