The Quantum Toda Chain Hamiltonian (QCTH) corresponding to the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{gl}_n\) is an explicit differential operator acting on a subalgebra of \(\mathfrak{gl}_n\). The eigenfunctions associated to QCTH are called \(q\)-Whittaker Symmetric Functions (\(q\)-WSFs). The purpose of the authors is to introduce and study a one-parameter generalization of \(q\)-WSFs which are a kind of multivariate symmetric polynomials. Let us describe a few sections. The second section concentrates on recalling a few essential tools of the integrable higher-spin vertex model. Then in the third section the authors define the spin Hall-Littlewood rational functions. The fourth section focuses on the construction of integrable Boltzmann weights. The fifth section concentrates on defining spin \(q\)-Whittaker polynomials and a stable version of the spin Hall-Littlewood functions.
