The authors numerically solve a problem of formation of rotating 3D detonation waves in an annular gap between parallel plates. They consider the case of a propane-air mixture, assuming that the reaction occurs under stoichiometry. They write the system of nonsteady Euler equations for an ideal multicomponent reaction mixture, in a conservative form and in a fixed Cartesian coordinate system. The three-dimensional rotating detonation occurs in an annular gap between a disk and a ring parallel to it. On the walls of this domain, impermeability conditions are imposed. The main purpose of the paper is to present results of numerical simulations, the authors here extending the results they obtained in their former work [Proc. Steklov Inst. Math. 300, 126--136 (2018; Zbl 1397.80008); translation from Tr. Mat. Inst. Steklova 300, 135--145 (2018)]. Starting with a single wave, they analyze the temperature and pressure distributions, and they discuss the influence of some parameters. They finally discuss the situation of two, three of four waves.
