This paper deals with the question of uniqueness of solutions to the transport equation and to the transport-diffusion equation set on a periodic torus \(\mathbb{T}^d = \mathbb{R}^d \setminus \mathbb{Z}^d\). This general question of uniqueness arises in the context of non smooth vector field \(u\). The authors show that there exists infinitely many vectors fields \(u \in C_t W_x^{1,\tilde{p}}\) for which uniqueness of solutions fails in the class of densities \(\rho \in C_t L_x^p\), provided \(\frac{1}{p} + \frac{1}{\tilde{p}} > 1 + \frac{1}{d}\). The proof consist in constructing non trivial solutions to the homogeneous problem, and it relies on convex integration technique (passing to the limit with smooth approximate solutions). The authors in particular focus on a proof based on the ``physical space'' (on contrary to Fourier analysis approaches) in order to have a better understanding of the ``anomalous'' vectors fields.
