This paper proposes an algorithm for solving a problem of reconstructing distributed inputs (disturbances) in linear parabolic equations. The papers establishes an upper bound for the convergence rate when the input is a function of bounded variation. The algorithm proposed in the paper combines both the optimal preset and positional control methods. Furthermore, the method allows reconstruction based on inaccurate measurements of solutions of the equations at discrete time instants.
