The Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation of the fifth order in the half-plane is considered. A local existence, uniquess and continuity with respect to initial data are investigated. Low regularity of the strong solution is obtained. It is shown that the smoothness of the nonlinear part of the solution is higher than the smoothness of the initial data.
