The authors introduce the new concept of distance between bounded linear operators that generalizes the classical Banach-Mazur distance for Banach spaces. This distance generates a topology on the set of isometrically conjugated classes of these operators. The authors prove, in the finite-dimensional case, that this topology is metrizable, complete, separable, and locally compact.
