Basic reference for this paper is the preceding work of \textit{Y. B. Melnikov} [J. Math. Phys. 57, No. 9, 093503, 18 p. (2016; Zbl 1351.45012)], where the author studies the kernel of an integral operator appearing in dynamics of matter relaxation processes in attractive fields. Such kernel can be expressed in terms of special functions of hypergeometric type, which are reconsidered in the present paper from a theoretical point of view. Namely, they are proved here to be solutions of certain differential-difference and differential equations. Moreover, precise relations are established with the so-called Clausen hypergeometric functions which generalize the standard Gauss hypergeometric case. The results include calculation of trigonometric double integrals in terms of special functions. The authors suggest interesting applications to the study of nanoelectronic electrolyte-based systems and dynamics of charged carriers in media with obstacles.
