In this paper, the authors consider the Hilfer-Katugampola random fractional differential equation \[ {}^{\rho}D^{\alpha,\beta}u(t,\theta)=g(t,\theta, u(t,\theta)), ~~t\in J:=(a,b],\tag{1} \] where \(\theta\in \Omega,\) \(\Omega\) is a probability space, \({}^{\rho}D^{\alpha,\beta}\) is the Hilfer-Katugampola fractional derivative of order \(\alpha~(0<\alpha<1)\) and type \(\beta~ (0\le \beta\le 1),\) \({}^{\rho}D^{1-\gamma}\) is the generalized fractional integral of order \(1-\gamma~(\gamma=\alpha+\beta-\alpha\beta),\) and \(g: J\times \Omega\times \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}\) is a continuous function. \(\theta\) is a random variable and \(\Omega\) is a probability space. Existence, uniqueness and stability results are established for initial value problems consisting by the random fractional differential equation (1) supplemented with initial, nonlocal or impulsive initial conditions, by using standard fixed point theorems. The continuous dependence on data is also discussed.
