A system of three parabolic equations combining chemotaxis and reaction terms is studied in bounded domains of \(\mathbb R^n\), under the homogeneous Neumann conditions. This is, the so-called, forager-exploiter (a.k.a. producer-scrounger) model. The main result of the paper is the global-in-time existence of solutions (and their boundedness) when the diffusion coefficients are nonlinear (and nondegenerate).
