A method on a space \(X\) in the sense of this paper is a mapping \(G : c_G(X) \to X\), where \(c_G(X)\) is a family of sequences on \(X\). So \(G\) is a sequential convergence in the sense of e.g. \textit{R. Frič} in: [Handbook of the history of general topology. Volume 1. Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers. 343--355 (1997; Zbl 0902.54003)]. Each method on \(X\) induces a generalised topology as defined and studied by \textit{Á. Császár} [Acta Math. Hung. 96, No. 4, 351--357 (2002; Zbl 1006.54003)].\par The authors are mainly interested in products of methods: if \((G_\alpha : c_{G_\alpha}(X_\alpha) \to X_{\alpha})_{\alpha \in I}\) is a family of methods they define and study a natural method on \(\prod_{\alpha \in I} X_\alpha\).\par It is shown that the generalised topology induced by the product of methods does in general not coincide with former introduced products of the induced generalised topologies, even if \(I\) contains only two elements. \par A subset \(A\) of \(X\) is called \(G\)-connected if it is connected in the induced generalised topology. The authors give (very natural) conditions which guarantee that the finite and the countable product, respectively, of connected methods is connected again.
