The authors create scale-free networks of Rössler oscillators using the Barabási-Albert model. They use the master stability function to define the ``synchronizability'' of a network in terms of a ratio of the extreme eigenvalues of the Laplacian coupling matrix. They then develop several perturbation-based methods for successively removing edges from a network in order to increase its synchronizability. These methods are compared (using five different criteria) with several existing ones such as successively removing edges from the highest-degree node, or methods based on assortativity. The quality of English in this paper is poor.
