The purpose of this paper is to present monotonicity properties and convexity properties for functions of generalized elliptic integral of the first kind. These generalized elliptic integrals can be expressed in hypergeometric form and the related Grötzsch ring function $\mu_a(r)$ can be written as a quotient of generalized elliptic integrals of the first kind. The proofs use formulas for hypergeometric functions, Ramanujan constant function $R(a)$, digamma function.
