Let \({\mathcal L}({\mathcal X})\) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Banach space \({\mathcal X}\). In this paper, the authors provide different classes of operators in \({\mathcal L}({\mathcal X})\) that enjoy the single valued extension property. Recall that an operator \(T\in{\mathcal L}({\mathcal X})\) is said to have such a property provided that for every open subset \(U\) of \(\mathbb{C}\), the equation \((T-\lambda)\phi(\lambda)=0,~~(\lambda\in U)\), has no nontrivial analytic solution \(\phi\).
