A Guichard net is a triply orthogonal system with an induced metric satisfying a special trace-zero-condition. Guichard nets were commonly studied by classical geometers around 1900. There has been an increasing interest after the observation that Guichard nets provide characterizing curvature line coordinates for 3-dimensional conformally flat hypersurfaces. This has created recent research interest at the junction of these triply orthogonal systems and hypersurfaces. In the paper in question, the author studies G-surfaces and shows that the coordinate surfaces of a Guichard net are G-surfaces. Distinguished Combescure transformations providing a duality for Guichard nets are presented. A Bäcklund-type transformation for Guichard nets is being constructed by using an another class of special Combescure transformations. Finally, a permutability theorem for the dual systems is proven.
