Based on a result in [\textit{W. Baldoni} and \textit{M. Vergne}, Transform. Groups 13, No. 3--4, 447--469 (2008; Zbl 1200.52008)], the authors characterize the volume function of a flow polytope for the nice chamber in terms of a system of differential equations, also providing an inductive formula for the volume with respect to the rank of the root system of type \(A\).
