This paper presents a survey on opinion dynamics with a focus on non-strategic models, namely, no game-theoretic models are studied. This aspect is mostly considered by physicists, computer scientists and control theorists. The survey revolves around two pillars, namely, binary opinion models and continuous opinion models. For binary opinion models, the authors have reviewed the threshold model, the voter and \(q\)-voter models, the majority rule model, and the aggregation model. For continuous opinion models, it has covered the DeGroot model and its variants, time-varying models, and bounded confidence models. The paper culminates with a tabular summary of the main behaviors of the models studied in the literature.
