Poisson structures are often regarded as symplectic structures that admit degeneracy. The article deals with the degeneracy locus of Poisson structures, interpreted as degenerate sympectic structures. As a problem of algebraic geometry within the perspective of birational geometry of a pair, geometry of generically symplectic Poisson structures is geometry of the so-called log-Calabi-Yau pair. In this paper the author considers a generically symplectic manifold as a Poisson structure with a reduced degeneracy divisor a log-symplectic structure, especially his interest lies in classification of simple normal crossing singularities, we say SNC-log symplectic structure, on Fano varieties of Picard number one. The main Theorem 1.2 solves a problem posed that sounds as follows: Theorem. Let \(p:X\rightarrow P^{2n}\) be a blow-up of \(2n\geq 4\)-dimensional projective space along a linear subspace of codimension \(c\) and a SNC-log symplectic structure on \(X\) and \(k=\bar{k}\) a base field of characteristic \(0\). Then, we have the following classification. \begin{itemize} \item[(1)] If \(c=3\), then \(p^{\ast }\) is a diagonal Poisson structure on \(P^{2n}\) \item[(2)] If \(c=3\), then there are three types of Poisson structures. \begin{itemize} \item[(a)] \(p^{\ast }\) is a diagonal Poisson structure, \item[(b)] \(D(p^{\ast })\) has \(2n\) pieces of irreducible components, \item[(c)] \(D(p^{\ast })\) has \(2n-1\) pieces of irreducible components. \end{itemize} \end{itemize} The theorem above was proved by means of classifying the possibility of the irreducible decomposition of the degeneracy divisor by applying Pym's method, constructing Poisson structures for each classification case. There was effectively used an idea that Poisson structures on a projective space are induced by those on an affine space, before suggested by Polishchuk. As a consequence, the author constructs two distinct SNC-log symplectic structures that are not induced by diagonal Poisson structures and shows that for one of them one can not construct the expected classification result.
