Let \(X\) be a proper scheme defined over a field \(k\) of characteristic \(0\). A line bundle \(L\) on \(X\) is called \emph{arithmetically nef} if (roughly speaking) almost all its reductions to positive characteristic are nef. The reviewer showed in [Adv. Math. 277, 1--23 (2015; Zbl 1348.14070)] an example of \(L\) for which none of the reductions is nef, so the condition of arithmetic nefness is much stronger than nefness of \(L\). In the paper under review, the author shows that \(L\) is arithmetically nef if and only if its restriction to the stable base locus of \(L\) is arithmetically nef. This result can be considered as an analogue of the classical Zariski-Fujita theorem saying that if the restriction of \(L\) to the base scheme of \(L\) is ample then \(L\) is semiample (see Theorem 1.10 in [\textit{T. Fujita}, J. Fac. Sci., Univ. Tokyo, Sect. I A 30, 353--378 (1983; Zbl 0561.32012)]). The author's result works also (when appropiately reformulated) in case \(k\) has positive characteristic.
