The paper deals with the problem of polynomial approximation of regular functions of a complex variable by Fourier sums in an orthogonal system. The authors obtain sharp inequalities of Jackson-Stechkin type for the best approximation \(E_{n-s-1}(f^{(s)})\) (\(s=\overline{0,r}\), \(r\in \mathbb{N}\)), where \(f^{(s)}\) is the derivative of order \(s\) of \(f\in L_2(U)\) analytic in the disk \(U=\{z\in \mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}\). \(L_2(U)\) is endowed with the norm \[ \|f\|_2=\left(\frac{1}{\pi}\int \int _{U}|f(z)|^2d\sigma \right)^{1/2} \] (the integral being in the Lebesgue sense, and \(d\sigma \) the area element). The first two results are given respectively in terms of a \(\mathcal{K}_m\)-functional, and a special modulus of continuity \(\Omega _m\), which appears not to be defined in the paper; in this respect the reader is referred to the reference [\textit{M. Sh. Shabozov} and \textit{M. S. Saidusaynov}, Math. Notes 103, No. 4, 656--668 (2018; Zbl 1397.42001); translation from Mat. Zametki 103, No. 4, 617--631 (2018)], where previous research in the same direction was done. Two further theorems are proved for functions \(f\) which are assumed to fulfill restrictions of the types \[ \Omega_m(f^{(r)},t)\leq \Phi (t),\qquad \mathcal{K}_m(f^{(r)},t^m)\leq \Phi (t),\qquad 0<t<1, \] where \(\Phi \) is a given majorant.
