In this paper, the authors contribute to the qualitative theory of linear differential equations of second-order in the form \[ [r(t)x'(t)]'+s(t)x(t)=0, \] where \(r > 0\), \(s\) are continuous functions. In the first section, some background information on the subject of this article is provided. In the second section, in particular, the definitions of slowly and regularly varying functions with an exponent are reminded. Next, the concepts of Riccati transformation and adapted Riccati equation are stated, and the notations to be used through the paper are also presented. The main theorem of this paper is related to the oscillation and non-oscillation of the considered linear differential equations. At the end of this paper, a few examples are given for illustrations. The result of this paper may be useful for researchers working on the theory of oscillation and non-oscillation of solutions.
