Let \(L\) be an infinite dimensional vector space over an infinite field \(F\) of odd prime characteristic. Let \(E\) be the Grassmann algebra generated by \(L\). If \(q\) is an odd prime and \(E\) is endowed with a \(\mathbb{Z}_q\)-grading such that all the elements of \(L\) are homogeneous, a finite basis for the \(T_{\mathbb{Z}_q}\)-ideal of the \(\mathbb{Z}_q\)-graded polynomial identities for \(E\) and a basis for the \(T_{\mathbb{Z}_q}\)-space of graded central polynomials for \(E\) are given. It is also showed that the set of all graded central polynomials of \(E\) is not finitely generated as a \(T_{\mathbb{Z}_q}\)-space. In the case where \(L\) is not necessarily homogeneous, bases as above are given if a homogeneous component of \(E\) of non-trivial degree contains infinitely many elements of a basis of \(L\).
