In this paper the authors deal with the ``modular'' version of Zaremba's conjecture on the boundedness of partial quotients for fixed denominators. The authors prove that for any prime \(p\) there exists an integer \(q=O(p^{30})\) divisible by \(p\) such that for some positive integer \(a\) coprime with \(q\) the ratio \(a/q\) has bounded partial quotients. Conversely they show that there is an universal constant \(C > 0\) such that for any prime \(p\) there exist a pair \((a,q)\) with an integer \(q=O(p^C)\) divisible by \(p\) and an integer \(a\) being coprime with \(q\) such that all partial quotients of the ratio \(a/q\) are bounded from above by 2.
