We consider \(V\subseteq \mathbb{P}^{n-1}\) to be a smooth hypersurface of degree \(d > 3\), defined over the rationals. We consider \(H\) the exponential height function on \(\mathbb{P}^{n-1}(\mathbb{Q})\). Let us define, for real \(B\), \(N_V(B)=|\{x\in V(\mathbb{Q}):\,H(x)\leq B\}|\). In this context, using the circle method of Hardy-Ramanujan one can prove that \(N_V(B)=cB^{n-d}+O_V(B^{n-d-\delta})\), for certain \(\delta>0\) and \(c>0\) (\(c\) is an explicit constant with algebraic interpretation). The main contribution of this paper is to address the similar question to the context of of `sufficiently free' rational points of bounded height on \(V\). See the paper [\textit{E. Peyre}, Doc. Math. 22, 1615--1659 (2017; Zbl 1434.11084)] for a precise definition. In this context, the authors obtain similar estimates in this context, by using a wide variety of techniques: geometry of numbers, Hardy-Littlewood circle method, etc.
