Let \(S\) be a semitopological reversible semigroup and \(Y\) be a subspace of \(\ell^\infty(S)\) with the properties: \(Y\) contains the constants, is left translation invariant and has a left invariant mean. Further, let \((E,||.||_E)\) be a uniformly convex Banach space, and \(C\) be a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of \(E\) that has nonempty interior and is locally uniformly rotund. The following is the main result of this exposition. Theorem. Let \(\mathcal{T}=(T(s); s\in S)\) be an asymptotically nonexpansive semigroup acting on \(C\), that has a unique fixed point \(\bar{x}\) lying in the boundary \(\partial C\) of \(C\). Then, \((u(s); s\in S)\) converges strongly to \(\bar{x}\), for each almost orbit \(u\) in \(AO_Y(\mathcal{T})\). Further aspects occasioned by these developments are also being discussed.
